Corey is responsible for overseeing and supporting day-to-day compliance at BeSmartee, including exam preparations, testing of the company’s policies and procedures, security, media oversight and more.
With Corey’s guidance, BeSmartee has implemented comprehensive compliance policies to mitigate existing and foreseeable risks. Program efforts are maintained regularly via mandatory compliance training and activities to ensure that our staff meets requirements. Compliance initiatives are benchmarked frequently to measure effectiveness for continuous improvement.
Q: What is your role at BeSmartee and what has been your favorite project?
A: My role at BeSmartee is Chief Compliance Officer. My favorite project to work on has been redesigning the URLA.
Q: How has BeSmartee helped you in your career development and what are three career lessons you’ve learned thus far?
A: BeSmartee has helped me by allowing me to be a part of the leadership team. In my short time here, I have learned to adapt to new situations and be more agile through different projects. Lastly, I am learning more about how development of software flows.
Q: What do you like to do on your days off?
A: On my days off, I can be found either on a football field coaching kids or watching my kids at one of their many sporting events.
Q: What is on your bucket list?
A: One of the things on my bucket list is to travel to Spain, Greece and Australia at some point. I also would like to see a Superbowl and NBA Game 7 in person.
Q: You’re happiest when?
A: I am happiest when helping others achieve their goals or when enjoying a meal with friends.

A: The most unusual job that I’ve ever had… was working as a sales associate at Best Buy. I sold cell phones.
